I normally wait for games to go on sale, but I also periodically hunt around for promising tactical/turn-based games because it's one of my favorite genres, especially for mobile, and this game is easily one of the best on GP. It's clearly inspired by games like Advance Wars, but it stands alongside that series with equal quality. it's nice to look at, it has all the features you would expect from this kind of game and it has great writing and a very slick UI. It was totally worth the purchase.

The general gameplay is good, just like common turn-based-battle games with city capture and unit production. However, I'm disappointed that movement and attack range are calculated rigidly on straight horizontal and vertical (diagonal is counted as greater than 1 unit length). It messes up the initial plans. Sure I'll get used to it, but the overall maneuvers will always be unpleasant to see, e.g. adjacent 1-range units won't be able to attack if they're diagonal to each other.

this is a must own mobile game. I can't express how underrated this is. I only heard about it from a random YouTube video and decided to try it. it took a minute to understand how it works but once I figured it out I couldn't put it down for like 8 hours. and I'm excited to play more of it. it's almost like if starcraft met into the breach. super strategic but it does a good job of easing you in.

Charming, well-made, balanced. Very good. My only criticism so far is that I've noticed a few typos in the text. Hopefully they get corrected in a future update. If you like Advance Wars or Fire Emblem, check this game out immediately!

Very reminiscent of advanced wars. There is some simplification in the combat which I think makes it more approachable for newbies but that I don't mind as a veteran. They also added some variety in the cities that earn income which I think is a very neat mechanic and makes maps and capturing more interesting

It's like Advance Wars but with a cutesy art style. Plenty of unit variety and requires a lot of strategy. Enjoyable campaign to work through. Absolutely worth the price for fans of Advance Wars!!!

Great little strategy game to play on the go, my only complaint is that the mute audio buttons do not work so I cannot play and listen to anything else without absolutely maddening extremely loud clanking noises interrupting my music.

Great tactical war game that distills the genre perfectly for mobile or any other platform really.
