Annoying app. When listening live, the stream often stops for 10 to 25 seconds. Sometimes it resumes where it stopped, sometimes it simply skips part of the broadcast. In the "Demand" portion, I listen to past programs such as "Weekend Edition". I find that it often stops on one story and will not play the rest of the two-hour program, no matter what I do, including deleting and reinstalling the app. When I contacted the station, they assured me I only I had this problem, yet it persists.

It is amazing at how badly this app fails at the simple task of streaming the radio. It doesn't start when you hit play. It crashes every couple minutes. It's bad enough that I often end up using the "listen live" feature on the website instead of using the app. It also does not shift from WiFi to data streaming automatically. I only want to listen to the radio and this app fails at that.

It takes several minutes after pressing play for the app to actually begin playing. October 12, 2025, situation is unchanged. It takes several minutes before playing actually begins. ultimately it is an inconvenience, not a hardship.

I really wanted to like this app. I'm an NPR junkie, and even a member of WPR. I haven't, however, been able to stream with this app or the website for more than ten minutes at a time for more than a month now. What usually happens when I push play is nothing. I'll wait hoping that this is the time my beloved morning programs will fill the pre-work air. Nothing. Yellowstone Public Radio is working gangbusters, though.

The app doesn't run consistently. It switches off, and you have to go back to it and start it up again. For this reason I listen to other music when I'm skiing or working out, because they don't have this problem

The app is actually alright. When I swap between apps I often have to close this app and restart it to get sound from it again. That's the biggest issue. If I don't touch anything after I start the app, sound works flawlessly.

Update on April 11 2022: the recent app update caused problems with play buttons. The button on the splash page does not work. Bringing up the Playing Now tab leads to another play button that responds randomly. I can always get the app to play eventually, but it is frustrating at times.
