I didn't have any problems with the app or the device before when I backed it on kickstarter but with the current update I installed(3/6/21) after 10 minutes of use the battery became extremely hot and closing the device permanently locked it. UPDATE: I got a new one from the company and never used it after checking to see if it was working, which it did. So now I finally decided to use it for the first for my vacation, and the recent update(2/05/24) made the gimbal malfunction again.

I'll be back to update this if the problem is resolved. Everything so far works with the app except there's a problem for me with the recorded videos. In normal recording mode the videos I've taken thus far playback not in slow motion but in a slower speed than normal and you can hear this in the audio as well. i v belts for and just updated the app today. this is on the essential phone. Once I get a chance to try it, if it's fixed, I'll come back and give it a five star review!

I have never had the app to crush so many times with the Atom 1. Atom 2 is really disappointing compared to the first version. Is a downgrade. Things to fix: Recording on at least 60fps, Able to choose the wide angle of Google Pixel 6, Reduction of crashing of app. I don't know if it's a software issue or just the device, but even if it's well balanced and i don't move it starts moving little by little on its own, unnecessarily.

You can't use the gimbal without the app but the app doesn't recognized the device. It is connected but when you try to calibrate it will ask you to connect to the device. You can't even update even though you tried to. And the drift calibration is so dumb that you have to turn off the gimbal, fold and lock it and turn it on which is a no-no without attaching the phone first. This is so useless.

I hadn't used my Snoppa for years and now I'm thoroughly disappointed because of the software, it's now unusable. The app crashes randomly, and the gimbal drifts as soon as I start to record and then the movement and even record button become unresponsive. I can't even use it as a tripod because it needs the gimbal to stay upright.

Edited 2019/05/24 I just bought an atom a couple of days ago and was worried about many negative comments, however my initial reaction is mainly positive based on app version 2.3.9 and firmware version 2.6.2 I had the opportunity to test this on three phones and results varied enormously even between two android phones so negative reviewers might want to try testing on a different phone if possible. Connection has been excellent, video recording at 1080 looks great, I don't yet have need or facility to handle 4K editing. The issues I am having are; 1. With iPhone and LG Nexus, object tracking algorithm seems to be reversed, i.e. The phone seems to want to look away from the object. No problems in Samsung S6 2. With S6, sudoku 3x3 wide angle shoots then seems to process but at the end there is no image. These are the only complaints so far Tested on a Samsung S6, LG Nexus 5X and an iPhone S7 I have given it 4 stars, will give it 5 if those issues are resolved.

I don't normally leave reviews if at all. I bought the Atom (my first gimbal) and excitedly installed the Snoppa app onto my Samsung S8 Plus. Well, it a little frustrating because initially the suduko and panorama files wouldn't save to storage. Then, for no reason I can determine, they started to save. However, they do not, for whatever reason, save to external storage (confirmed by Snoppa) which would have been nice, especially if you are storage limited. So one has to manually move them (ugh!) if you want them on your external storage. Having said that, if you save everything to internal storage, it seems to work, mostly OK. Face and object tracking can be a bit hit and miss. Otherwise the other modes seem to work fine. When using suduko the odd 'Influenced by lightling factors, please reshot' rather than 'reshoot' appears - not sure what this means. Occasionally, the app does seem to crash and you get 'booted out' of the app. Hopefully, it will continue to evolve, improve and be more stable. . FOLLOW-UP 20-19-12-13. I don't know what it's like on other phones, but on my Samsung S8 Plus the shutter noise volume cannot be adjusted. On my phone it seems loud! So when taking a series of photos in sudoku or pano mode well... you can guess. For suduku there are nine times for the shutter and if you have a 360 panorama... PLEASE, Snoopa find a way to allow shutter volume adjustment even if it's from within the app, at least have 'high', 'medium', 'low' or 'off' for shutter noise volume.

Since the last couple of updates the app hasn't worked with my Pixel (1), running on Android 9. I can get the app running, but if I try to record anything, the app crashes. The best that I can do is set up the tracking, then minimise the app and use another app to do the actual filming. Is there any chance that this problem could be addressed in a future update?
