Once a week, The Short Years App will remind you to upload a photo and answer a couple of questions about your baby’s milestones and special moments. Many parents tell us they do this while feeding their baby or watching a show on Netflix.

We’ll turn your text, photos, and even video into beautiful baby book pages!

Once you’ve purchased your book, we will start printing and shipping your pages to you every time you complete three chapters in the app. Just pop them in your book!

And, if you want to capture all of the sweet memories until your baby turns five, simply add on “The Toddler Years” at checkout. Doing so will allow you to access The Toddler Years chapters in your app and to receive these extra chapters in print to add to your baby book.

The app is very hard to navigate. You have to constantly scroll through your uploaded photos in chronological order to get to the earlier months. There is no way to filter out your "month 3" photos for example. Also, you can only upload one photo at a time. This is the same when working on a desktop computer. If you are updating your baby book in realtime, you won't run into this issue. Even more frustrating is that sometimes my work is not saved. Otherwise, it's a great baby book product.

I used this with my first and I'm back to use it with my second. This is not the typical softcover that I've grown to expect when documenting digital memories (hay, Google photo books, get prettier). Comparable options on the market aren't as cute. They also typically charge monthly/annual fees, which Short Years doesn't. My only gripe: Please ask different questions! I'd love to see some more creative ones. But I hear that's a common issue with all of these services, not just Short Years.

Super easy app to use. The books are beautiful and well made. I love the questions and prompts. The AI suggestions for rewording your text is nice when you aren't sure how to make it sound like a story instead of a list of ideas. Only thing I wish is that it worked better with shared albums on Google Photos. I have to download the cloud photos to my phone before I can upload them to the app. Only inconvenience.

I love the digital baby book. My son would not have a baby book if not for TSY. The app is easy to navigate, I enjoy using the AI writing assistant. The quality of the book and pages is wonderful. Everyone comments on how nice it is. My only suggestion would be to offer like "the short years photo books" they have photo pages, and they're great, but I have so many photos in my phone that I want to share. Sometimes, it's hard to pick which ones to put in his book.

Love this app! The books are beautiful and high quality. I enjoy the questions and the weekly push notifications so that I don't ever fall behind in updating. My first book arrived damaged, but customer service was understanding, efficient and I had a replacement in just a couple of days. I now have 2 under 2 and love displaying both books next to each other. Family and friends love looking through it. I recommend this to all my new mom friends!

The Short Years app is so easy to use and really helps capture the memories of my children's first years. I like that you can change out prompts, add videos and change layouts for photos. The design is simple, crisp and polished. I ordered the album for my newest baby and I will be ordering one for my oldest as well. It's really easy to fill them out during those late night nursing sessions.

This app and baby book are amazing! It makes it so easy and stress free to capture all the moments of your little ones first year. No need to worry about printing out photos, cutting them to size, gluing to a book and hoping they stick. The Short Years does it all! It is so convenient and the book is beautiful! Love this idea for a baby book! I was getting stressed thinking about getting one in person and making sure I was filling it out, but this app is so much easier and more convenient! I love that it prompts you with questions so you don't forget to answer them. It only takes a few short minutes to answer the questions and I usually do it while nursing. The quality is amazing and I love that once you finish the chapters, they ship it to you for free. I highly recommend this for tired mamas. ❤️
