Compatibility:
The Danalock Classic App uses Bluetooth 4 and is compatible with Android Lollipop and higher.
However, practical experience shows that the best experience is gained on versions greater than the initial releases (5.0, 6.0, 7.0, ...) but it also depends on the phone manufacture and phone model. In other words, the recommended versions are 5.1, 6.0.1, 7.1 or higher.
Phones born with (not upgraded from BT 4.x+ to) a high end Bluetooth chip (BT 5) also give a good experience.

Dear developer, I installed an arm gate Bluetooth controller in my workplace since about more than a year ago, and it has been working fine since. However, after the last update, the app keeps crashing and always sings out on all iOS operated phones only. Android phones face this issue but it is phone dependant. Please fix this issue as I've been getting so much flack because of this error. Best regards Georges

Bad experience. I keep getting logged out of the app, same for my wife. Which obviously means the auto unlock doesn't work properly. Their customer support is appalling, which is unfortunate as the Danalock V3 is very good (when the app works). Messages such as "Not within bluetooth range", "you do not have any locks" in the app even though I have 2 different ones... Need to fix this.

The lock works so well I had opened and closed a few times just for fun :D I bought the BT version and never ever had even a small issue with it. Auto unlock always does its job, combined with the Latch Hold it will open the Doors when hands are busy. I give The APP 4 starts because as fine as it functions if has maybe the worst possible UI design ;) it's not 90s anymore, software can be made visually appealing, pleasant to eyes! As a graphic designer I can help you with it for free... Really!

So far so good, just needed to get the settings correct and lock calibration done, all seems to be OK. For auto unlock and android, remember to stop your phone optimizing battery usage for danalock app. Working well for me, 2 improvements are when people use the danapad, it needs to record it in the log as there's no history that they have been and gained access, and also would benefit having the ability to name pin numbers on the danapad so can see which is registered to who.

Cannot log in to application. Enter email address and password, and I get "logging in to server" which goes away and leaves me at the login screen. Have uninstalled and reinstalled, to no avail. I'd like to set up my lock but. UPDATE: Worked with Danalock support (great response) to get my issue resolved. FYI, this was caused by a symbol (like !,:)?-) in my password, which the app doesn't like. If you're having the same issue, use forgot password and use only letters and numbers.

The lock, bridge and accompanying app seems like a nice accessory, but is not at all stable enough. My experience is that it regularly does not work as intended. Either it doesn't unlock when entering the unlock zone or it does not automatically lock when it should. The danabridge could be useful, but the fact that you can't get the status of the lock without operating it is not satisfying. I have also experienced that the remote unlocking stops working wich makes it hard to trust!

We utilize Danalock on the family' Android phones and in general it works quite well - However it is a problem for the mixed scenario, that the electronic lock cannot read the actual state of the dead bolt. Lately - App. with the 15/09 update we all experience that the app will not start at all, unless that there is internet connectivity. It is quite problematic for us, since not all our phones have internet connectivity and some phones should not be registered to our WIFI for them to activate the lock. .

App does not work. As far as i can determine, the lock is functional. I cannot be 100% until i can get the app to recognize the bluetooth id. Press 3 times to activate and can hear the one beep. Also, reset it by pressing 5 times. Then, wait 1 min and press 10 times. And nothing. Seems like the app wont access bluetooth scanning functions. I wrote to support and am still waiting for help.
