I love the ability to get news surrounding my county and low country very fast! My main issue is every time I watch anything I get an ad and lately it plays audio of the ad at the same time my selected article is playing. Very frustrating so now I actually read the text instead of watching the video because of this major issue! If the ads were not so heavy and intrusive I would live it! Please remedy this wcsc! Thanks 😊 🙏

The giant add that pops up before every story and has to be manually closed is obnoxiously intrusive. Another problems is about half of the time I select an article a blank page loads with the Live 5 News header at the top of the page that no amount of reloading the story will fix. The old app worked better and was far more stable. I've had only problems from this new web-based app.

Update: clicked on one of the news links and a virus popped up. Had to delete the app. Dont know what you guys did far as an update but definitely made things worse. Switching to a different news station app. After the update, the app crashes and a white screen appears sometimes. Plus it seems to show more ads than before the update.

The old app was better. It has since moved to more of a web based app and now it gives you spam notifications, of which, some you can not get out of without closing the app. When you do not get a "Congratulations, you're a winner!" notification, it is a blank screen, and when you go back, it takes you to the home page. I have been using Live 5 for about seven years.... They have about a week left before I delete it. Hopefully News 2 will be better.

UPDATE: They fixed the auto play on videos. Yeah! Bumped up to 3 stars. Will see if spamming or blank screen persists or is fixed as well to up rating again. I loved this app and gave it a 5 star review. But now it's terrible!! While reading articles, they will disappear to a white screen and when you hit the back button it will take you to the home screen. Also, videos auto playing is annoying. I'd rather read the articles and this frustrates me. Finally, I am constantly getting spammed.

Crashes constantly. The old app worked just great, the update which, has been out long enough to fix it, is horrible. I can open a story long enough to read the headline and maybe what city the story is from before it goes to a blank screen. Already had channel 4 app and now I downloaded channel 2. There are also more ads and some of them don't let you close them without clicking on them.

I try to watch a video and I can't watch it unless some of it is cut off.. No matter how I turn my phone the video is cut off. You can't enlarge the video. Honestly I wouldn't bother with this app. I'm never able to read half the articles they notify me about because once I click the notification it doesn't take me to the story, just the home page. There's no search bar so you have to scroll if you want to try and find that story. Just all in all don't waste the phone storage.

You have to be VERY careful when clicking on a notification to read and article, otherwise EVERY other notification will disappear. It's probably 30/70 that I just open the article that I want without erasing the other notifications. 70% being when I lose all the other notifications. I'm so frustrated that I'm seriously consider deleting Live 5 and downloading another local news app. Despite Live 5 being a holdover from my non-streaming days.
