So close and yet so far... I've been looking for an app like this for a long time so I can read and reply to emails while driving long distance for work. This app is set up exactly like I was hoping: big, readable fonts, simple interface, simple voice commands, able to access multiple email accounts, etc.. Sadly, it works terribly with the Bluetooth audio required by Android Auto. I only hear snippets of sound and it rarely picks up my responses, which totally defeats the point.

Being a blind user, this app has enabled me to gain independence. The ease of use, prompts, being able to create folders, store emails, reading emails, attachments, deleting, blocking...basically everything I need all by using voice commands. I cannot see, but I have been able to communicate with my family, friends, and community with ease. I would highly recommend downloading and using this app. Thank you Mike for creating such a wonderful app.

I like it. I was out on the highway and received several very complicated emails (in tiny print) and thought, now is the time to get an email reader. So, I pulled over, Googled email readers, and found this one. So, I downloaded it and drove off letting it read to me. The voice sounds computerish (as it should), but it worked well and was very clear. One suggestion: It would be great if it also read web pages. It would be helpful when I have a long article or kindle book on the road and it could read the article to me. Put that on your list of upcoming R&D. But even without that, Speaking Email is a nice product and I like it a lot.

App seems a great idea but when I installed it, logged in and pressed play latest, it didn't actually read me anything Update: text to speech worked fine on my new phone but I've decided to delete it. I'd hoped to be able to catch up on some of my emails while driving but the pauses are so long I can't see myself being able to follow the thread while focussing on something else. You have to purchase premium to be able to delete emails by voice and you have to keep repeating the voice commands.

Doesn't work while driving, which was my primary use case. I am letting it run in the background while the navigation software is guiding me where to go (google maps). In this case, it just ceases to read anything and becomes silent after a minute or so. Background data use is set to unrestricted. I won't have it in the foreground as I have to navigate too.

Worked great for a while., but now it pauses for 5 to 10 seconds between EVERY SENTENCE! It will say the title, long pause, who from, long pause, read one sentence, long pause, another sentence, long pause, and on and on. Loved it for a while, but now have to Uninstall as I don't have 3 hours to listen to 1 email. Checked FAQ's, tried Uninstall / reinstall, tried clearing cache, nothing worked. Too bad.

Exercise in Frustration I've got dyslexia and was hoping this would be helpful... the commands are screwed up it keeps skipping words and no matter how hard I try to change the horrendous default voice I cannot (which is not my standard google voice but a bizarre sounding thing) I give up after 45min trying saying "voice" was worse it kept saying voice back to me, changing to whatever it wanted. I request voice English UK and it says changed to English Nigeria! & voice sounds the same as before.

UPDATE: 2.11.18 I no longer like this app as it is unuseable. It gets stuck at the selecting email page. please do not renew service. I like that this app skips over email addresses and goes straight to the content. I wish it would organize emails from listservs like it does in the email app where it is one long thread of emails not just the current and original posts.
