May be the last time I use spin. It's always a hit or miss if the scooter is actually gonna work or not. Youll never get a refund either, this one kept cutting out on me and I had to walk it a good distance more than once. I've used them for a few months, and on the surface it may look cheaper than Veo if you buy the weekly pass but you're going to be paying so much more getting a different scooter because the one you have doesn't charge or it won't actually go or the throttle will get out and g

terrible experience half the rides are broken and locations services are bugged so they refuse to let you park even at a parking spot. if you try to get a refund they only offer credit instead of a cash refund. there is also no option to get help, when you click it on the app it only directs you to a page that tells you you've must have entered the wrong link. which only adds to the insult of offered credit especially when you don't want to ride again.

There is always something wrong whether it's the app or the vehicle itself. Spin is beyond an inconvenience when it's meant to be a convenience. Also way more expensive than Lime they have hidden fees, say you spent longer on the ride than you actually did and charge you a cancellation fee when their own vehicles don't work. very sketchy

When it works it's great. Just had my second experience of not being able to end my ride due to the app's faulty detection of parking zones. I spent 20 minutes trying to park after a 5 minute ride. After I gave up and submitted a ticket I only got refunded for my stationary time. Thinking I'll just walk in the future. edit: tried the app again and had the same experience lol

USE WITH EXTREME CAUTION This is a very shady company. I used the bikes/scooters fairly often, and there have been multiple times within the last couple months where they steal money from my account. To clarify, they tell you your ride has ended, but continue billing you for an extra half hour. Then it's on you to deal with customer service to get your money back. Conveniently for them, there's never any issue starting a ride, but always an issue ending it as they bill you per-minute...

Scooters are great, app is horrible. Camera sometimes doesn't work and requires the app to be re-opened. Going to enter code and then back to the camera bugs the app. Very slow menus and UI/UX. Clicking the flashlight button takes about 5 seconds for it to turn on.

go to try it out with promo and made it about 5 seconds not minutes before the allegedly fully powered scooter stopped. Already walked out of my way to get to it but when I went to the help menu, since no way to contact support otherwise, and CHOSE my one and only ride in their system, they wanted me to go back and get the number I had just put in on the recorded ride I had clicked on to get the number. Now they have my info and no way to contact or try. Gonna just stick with bikes for same $

Terrible Company. I started the scooter and the rate was a $1 Activation fee + 62¢ a minute. they charged me $5 activation fee. first ride I rode for 1:02 (minute) and they charged the $5 to $4.82 (didn't reimburse the difference), rode again and got charged another $5. I ignored it this time, I rode from the Roanoke Library to Arby's, which is .9 miles. took 1:02 again, but I put the scooter on pause which charged me extra time. 3 minutes into the ride they charged me another $9. SCAMMY.
