This used to be five stars for me but not anymore, the reason is simple, they removed the deleting function, which means if you download something, it is staying there FOREVER. Another reason is because bookmarks suddenly dissappear and it takes a while to get them back, there is also the issue of uploading, some epubs simply do not show up or can not be read by this app despite being in the correct formatting. After they removed the delete button in the recent update, I had to knock off a star

The delete book to hide book is the least of what this app needs fixing. Its userface occasionally becomes larger than what the smartphone screen can show, making it hard to search titles or hide/delete books. Also the app has become more laggy and heavy compared to just several months ago. (Nov, 2024 edit) I upgraded the phone's software and the issue is now resolved. It's still a bit laggy/slow with loading and searching books compared to last year, though.

I'm not sure what's going on but I have recently been unable to upload epubs that I've downloaded from 3rd party websites. This is really annoying because I've been using this app to read my uni work while I'm on the go. I have a bunch of stuff uploaded (600+) so not sure whether it's because of that but a message doesn't pop up or anything saying that I've run out of space - the book/article simply doesn't appear in google books. Please fix this asap!

I prefer paper books but I guess you can't beat the convenience of being able to have an entire series in the palm of your hand. Will give 5 stars when the bug that sometimes prevents an ebook from being added is fixed. The workaround is to convert it to a mobi and then back to an ebook before uploading.

After the recent update, the option to permanently delete uploaded epub files is gone. To delete an uploaded book, I need to go to the website using a browser and from there I can delete the book. This is such a basic option to have, and it was working perfectly fine, but now I have to deal with this whole inconvenience. Also books that are 'hidden' can nowhere be found. There's supposed to be a 'hidden' shelf, but there's nothing even on a browser. Such a mess!!

After the latest update, I'm so confused with the fact that now I cannot delete the epub that I have uploaded. Now, the only feature available is to "Hide book", which was where the option of "Delete file permanently" originally located. It just does not make sense, why would I want to hide the book/files instead of delete it? Or, maybe if it is a bug, and the team was trying to add the "Hide" feature alongside the "Delete book permanently", please please please fix this issue. Thank you.

Pls fix this "Delete" turn into "Hide"! I really hate this new updates! Not only that but the " hide book" can nowhere to be found! Its supposed to just "Hide " right?? If its totally gone. Just put "Delete" 😭! Its frustrating!! Also when i bookmark my page on top. Usually the bookmark pic will show at the bottom. So when we touch it. It goes directly to the page we want right? BUT MINE DIDN'T HAVE THAT NOW! WHAT HAPPENED??😭

Update: 11/6/24. I still love this app, and I will use it until the end of time. But I do have a new request. The read aloud feature. I wish I could change the voice to a different person. If that makes sense. And make the read aloud person sound a little better, like a little less roboty.
