First, let it be said that this is one of the best chess apps. The "play against machine" feature is easily the best. I wonder what would happen if somebody played with this kind of precision. I would have given this 5 stars if only there was a way to get explanations. Some answers were completely unintelligible. Some automated moves killed any possibility of variation. But still let it be said that this is a very good app and remember, it is free. Wish the developers would continue development.

I wish I could give 4.5 stars Chess King apps are always high quality but most of them have two noticeable flaws (sometimes they matter, sometimes not) 1) There are no explanations on the puzzle solutions 2) Puzzles with multiple lines you can only "analyze" the last one after you complete it. If you don't understand the first line opponent played you'd better have an amazing memory or be taking notes. Other than that, amazing and high quality app. I've purchased about 10 of them and counting!

I'm a beginner chess player with some experience over 30 years ago. The problems are great. My only issue is some of the problems are not correct, mate in 2 but there was more than one way to get mate in 2 but it wouldn't let me choose anything other than what it thought. I even had 1 problem that was mate in 2 but there was mate in 1. I'm gonna keep playing because this app will still make me a much better chess player

These Chess King courses with theory+exercises are a great way to fine tune your skills and work on problem areas. The incremental increases in difficulty are also great for improvement without running into walls. FUN AND ENJOYABLE! LOVE IT!

Everything these folks design is first rate. I use these puzzles to teach the kids in my school and they're perfect for the more advanced children.

Not too difficult for how good of a teacher it is. Really gives you a lot of reps of the same techniques to really drill the particular type of tactic into you. Feels like it changes the way you think rather than make you bleed out of your nose lol.

Well organized, good selection of exercises for the average player. It keeps the exercises you have not solved and reminds you to solve them!

Fantastic. Even though you might not be learning the names of the motifs and patterns, you will be learning the patterns and motifs themselves. They're all in here. It's great.
