Who is nora intended for?
Anyone who needs rapid assistance in an emergency situation anywhere in Germany can use the emergency call app.

What does nora offer?

Location determination
The app uses the geolocation function of your mobile device to determine the location of the emergency and automatically sends this to the responsible emergency control centre.

This is why nora is useful for example when you don’t know exactly where you are.

Emergency call without speech
nora makes it possible for people to make an emergency call themselves even if they can’t call the emergency numbers.

This makes the emergency call app equivalent to voice emergency calling for people with hearing or speech impairments.

Silent emergency call
nora can also be used in situations in which the emergency call needs to remain unnoticed.

For this, the app comes with a silent emergency call function for threatening situations.

Chat-based communication
nora lets you communicate with the emergency control centre via a text-based chat. However, the control centre will also send help even if you don’t use the chat.

First steps with nora
Before you can use nora to make an emergency call, you first need to register.

For this registration, we send an SMS with a confirmation code to your mobile phone number. In some cases, you also have to accept a confirmation phone call or identify yourself using the POSTIDENT services in order to complete your registration.

We recommend that you download the app right now and register right after installing. This way you can ensure that the app is ready for use in an emergency situation.

Once you have registered, you can also store personal information directly in the app – such as your age, any health conditions or disabilities. This can enable responders to optimally prepare for your emergency.

Emergency call sequence
In an emergency, nora lets you send an emergency call with just a few steps.

Emergency location
For each emergency, your location is determined using your mobile device and transmitted to the responsible emergency control centre along with your emergency call. You can manually change the emergency location if the device did not identify this correctly, or if the emergency happened elsewhere.

Nature of emergency
nora lets you contact both the police and the fire and rescue service. The types of responder you need are determined using a chain of no more than five questions, which you answer by tapping the best option.

Chat
Once the emergency call is sent, you are connected via the chat function directly to a call handler of the emergency control centre. This lets you provide additional information about the emergency or ask questions. Also, the emergency control centre can use the chat to ask follow-up questions to understand the nature of your emergency situation even better. However, responders are also dispatched even if you don’t use the chat.

You should add an option to upload picture like at the beginning (or maybe an extra button for "take a pic+ location), this is the first and most important thing then going first thry filling up the text. With this option a suspect or a stolen car or maybe a person of interest or even accident could be identified much faster and you will have an insight of what's happening before you even got there. Anyway i got feeling i will need it in the future coz of all crazy people today. god job👏

Includes your location, seems faster than calling in case of an emergency.

Appreciate you have created this. Necessary enhancements: 1. put the details of our issues / illness 2. emergency key - where/ with whom 3. pre-existing conditions - little more room to put information such as therapist or doctor 4. under other room for other conditions we may have. 5. Have info updates in app for example people put I.C.E. under emergency for helpers*6. if I'm in public transportation and someone is threatening me or someone rhat they text me back NOT CALL - Make that a choice!

Registration schlägt fehl beim angeben der Telefonnummer. "Saving was unsuccessful. Please try again"
