At Mona we don't have wall labels, we have The O.

The O uses location awareness to locate you in and around the Mona museum and tells you about the work on display. You can choose from ‘Artwank’—a short and pithy, but otherwise traditional, essay; ‘Gonzo’—ramblings from David Walsh and some of his buddies about what the stuff on show means on a more personal level; as well as bite-sized nuggets of info, and interviews with artists. The O allows you to ‘Love’ and ‘Hate’ Mona artworks or you can leave comments to really vent your spleen.

Great museum but unfortunately info was hard to find about many of the artworks. The app seems to get confused about which floor you're on. I just wish there were written descriptions in the gallery so I didn't spent the whole time with my head down staring at a screen.

great idea but needs more work. the app often showed artworks in rooms nearby, not the rooms you are actually in. I spent more time searching for the artwork than actually looking at the artwork. it felt like I was walking around staring at my phone. the maps didn't work so I couldn't tell where I was or if I had missed anything. I'd also love if there was a brief description of the idea/philosophy of the art, most of the artist statement bit were soo long a summary would have been good

Doesn't work as advertised! A useless app that is pushed by MONA. I couldn't find my way out of the gallery with it. It kept saying there was no art near me when I was in the middle of a gallery. Don't bother downloading it.

Just awful app! Clunky, bad permissions, sometimes must click 20 times to refresh. I should get a refund for this over priced tourist trap!

The core feature of the app which is to see the credit and title of art pieces can take a while for bluetooth to 'wake up' unless you have your phone in front of your face the whole time. If you're making me go to my device to see this stuff I would like a lot more detail, background or just anecdotes to add context to what I am looking at. Looks cool and nice UI otherwise

Horrible way to experience a museum. Not very accessible or equitable. No signage inside. No chargers for your phone. Staff do not answer questions regarding the art, they tell you to look at the app. App doesnt always show the art you are next to. Refesh does not work. Excellent museum, horrible technology integration.

It ruins museum experience. Doesn't show the art work you are next to. No sign in the museum that mentions the art work. Only way to see description of the work is to scroll through hundreds of work on a list. Hardly anybody in the museum is using while we are here. Terrible attempt in using tech to enrich experience.

Thank you to the dev team for adding the Your Visits functionality, which had recorded my early Jan visit but was inaccessible until the most recent update (making it look like it had discarded all the visited items). This version is now as good as the original O app. The artworks near me is still as hit and miss as the original O but usually lists those things you're near.
