Do you know how many Watts your home is consuming right now? Discover real-time electricity consumption with My Electric Meter App. Simply choose the "Read LED Directly" option, align the app with the LED indicator on your electric smart meter, and press "Start." Within seconds, the app will display your current electricity consumption in Watts.

To utilize the app, enter the "Imp/kWh" value from your digital smart meter. Keep your device in "Read LED Directly" mode on your electric smart meter, while using another device in "Remote Reader" mode for convenient remote readings. Both devices should be connected to the same wifi network.

Now, you can easily integrate My Electric Meter App as a sensor in Home Assistant with the provided code:

Didn't work in real time and only give a calculation of approximate figure based on something. Didn't count correctly and wants wifi hooked to your electric meter or a tool to bridge the electric meter with the phone.

I got the readings. It said it needed more information . then it disappeared. Did it again to day. Blinking camera working. No results when i finished. Am i to remember all the numbers it blinked . i am very disappointed . i am on a fixed incom with over a 400 dollar like bill

Works beautifully for quick check of instantaneous power! Could the WiFi communication details be shared for Home Assistant integration. An old android phone and a 3D printed holder would make a slick sensor.

It is working as expected. The kWh correlates to equipment load connected. Could check both kWh pulses and kVAh pulses. Feature request: Please add the log with date, time and user entered notes also as another field. Thanks

Doesn't work!!! Will not read from smart meter led. The only thing this app DOES do is trick you into pressing START to get you installing OTHER apps. This is a total sham app!
